April 27 World Veterinary Day was celebrated with various events held at our Faculty. The events began with a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Monument in Cumhuriyet Square, followed by a conference on "Current Practices in Veterinary Medicine" with the participation of the President of the Turkish Veterinary Medical Association Central Council, Vet. Dr. Ali EROĞLU, as a speaker, and continued with the traditional 7th White Coat Ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Adem KORKMAZ, Bandırma 17 September University Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman ÖZDEMİR, Burdur Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Oktay DARCAN, President of the Burdur Chamber of Veterinarians Kazım ÜSTÜNER, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. Hakan ÖNER, academics, students, and parents. The opening speech was delivered by Ela Nur DİLLİ, representing the first-year students. After the protocol speeches and the conference, the ceremony proceeded. During the ceremony, our candidate veterinary students were dressed in white coats by the protocol and our faculty members. At the end of the ceremony, our Dean presented a plaque and a memento to the President of the Turkish Veterinary Medical Association Central Council, Vet. Dr. Ali EROĞLU. After the ceremony, helva was distributed in memory of our student Hıncal BAŞ, who recently passed away. The events concluded with a program called "Interview with Graduates" attended by graduates of our Faculty aimed at our students.
